Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
** Complete eight Upper Division History courses from the following fields below. Students must take at least 1 course from each field and a total of 2 Pre-1750 courses. Courses are 4 units each, unless noted otherwise.
Ancient & Medieval - Complete at least 1 course:
HIST 104 , HIST 112 , HIST 114 , HIST 121A , HIST 121B , or HIST 126
Europe - Complete at least 1 course:
HIST 122 , HIST 124 , HIST 143 , HIST 144 , HIST 145 , HIST 146 , or HIST 153 (3 units)
United States - Complete at least 1 course:
HIST 171 , HIST 173 , HIST 174 , HIST 175 , HIST 176 , HIST 177 , HIST 178 , HIST 179 , HIST 181 , HIST 185 (3 units), HIST 188 (3 units), HIST 189A , or HIST 189B
World - Complete at least 1 course:
HIST 103 , HIST 109A , HIST 109B , HIST 110A , HIST 110B , HIST 130 , HIST 131 , HIST 132 , HIST 136 (3 units), HIST 155 (3 units), HIST 162 , HIST 163 , HIST 167 , or HIST 173
Pre-1750 - Complete at least 2 courses:
HIST 104 , HIST 109A , HIST 110A , HIST 112 , HIST 114 , HIST 121A , HIST 121B , HIST 122 , HIST 124 , HIST 126 , HIST 130 , HIST 136 (3 units), HIST 162 , HIST 173 , or HIST 174
