Anthropology, BA (2023-2024) (AA-T Anthropology)

The AA-T in Anthropology guarantees 60 transferable units and the completion of all lower division Core GE. This transfer degree will meet the ANTH 11 , ANTH 12 , and ANTH 13 course requirements at SJSU.
Below is the path to the BA in Anthropology degree in 60 semester units for students who earn the AA-T in Anthropology.

- ANTH 149 , ANTH 155 , ANTH 168 , or ANTH 169 3 units
- Lower OR Upper Division Elective(s) 3 units
4th Semester (15 units)
- Select two courses: ANTH 151 , ANTH 152 , ANTH 154 , ANTH 155 , ANTH 156 , ANTH 157 , or ANTH 159 6 total units
- Select course(s) with advisor’s approval: ANTH 180 , ANTH 184 , ANTH 187 , ANTH 190 , or ANTH 195 6 total units

Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Students may take their archaeology, physical anthropology, and cultural anthropology major classes in any of their semesters at SJSU. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division electives if articulated.
