Business Administration, Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management Concentration, BS, (2024-2025) (AS-T Hospitality Management)


The AS-T in Hospitality Management guarantees the student will transfer with the completion of 60 transferable semester units. This transfer degree will meet the HSPM 1 HSPM 11 HSPM 12 ECON 1B BUS2 90 , and BUS1 20  OR BUS3 80  course requirements at SJSU. Transfers will also take three of the following courses: Economics, Finite Math, Business Calculus, Computer Skills/Business Information Systems, or Intro to Business/Business Communications. We highly encourage students to complete *MATH 70  or MATH 71 ECON 1A BUS1 21 , **BUS4 91L , and **ENGL 2  or ENGL 1B  prior to transfer as part of their AS-T degree.

Below is the path to the BS in Business Administration (Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management) degree in 60 semester units for students who earn the AS-T in Hospitality Management. This major requires grade minimums, please consult with a major advisor.

This roadmap has an approved P.E. waiver.

minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division electives if articulated.

* Students are strongly advised to complete MATH 70  or MATH 71  prior to transfer to be successful in BUS2 190 . If BUS2 190 is not passed, students will be required to take MATH 70 or MATH 71 before they re-enroll in BUS2 190.

** Students are also advised to take ENGL 2  or ECON 1B  prior to transferBUS4 91L  is also recommended and if not taken prior to transfer and it does not fit in a student’s roadmap, the student will need to request to have this course waived.
