Behavioral Science, BA (2022-2023) (AA-T Sociology)

The AA-T in Sociology guarantees completion of 60 transferable units and all lower division core GE satisfied. This transfer degree will meet the requirement at SJSU. We encourage students to complete the equivalency as part of the AA-T degree options, but if not completed prior to transfer they will need to complete the course at SJSU, as well as the American Institutions requirement.
Below is the path to the BA Behavioral Science degree in 60 semester units with the transfer AA-T Sociology degree:

- SJSU Studies Area V in US and California Government. meets US2, US3 and Area V (or a different SJSU Studies Area V if US2, US3 has been meet) 3 units

3rd Semester (15-16 units)
- Upper Division Psychology, may include 6-7 units
- Upper Division Sociology, may include 6 units
- Lower or Upper Division Psychology may include OR 3 units

- Area Specialization. Upper Division Anthropology, Psychology or Sociology courses, both approved by advisor (Three units of SJSU Studies may be used to meet the major area of specialization requirements). 6 units

Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Students may take their Anthropology, Psychology and Sociology major classes in any of their semesters at SJSU. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division electives if articulated.
