History, BA (2021-2022) (AA-T History)

The AA-T in History guarantees completion of 60 transferable units and all lower division core GE satisfied. This transfer degree will meet the HIST 20A, 20B (including the US1 requirement) and either HIST 1A + 1B or HIST 10A + 10B requirements at SJSU.
Below is the path to the BA History degree in 60 semester units with the transfer AA-T History degree:

1st Semester (16 units)
- Writing Skills Test Taken and Passed
- 3 units
- 2 of 7 required Upper Division courses from four fields–Ancient and Medieval, World, Modern Europe, and United States History (see advisor) 8 units
- University Electives 3 units
- Physical Education 2 units
2nd Semester (14 units)
- SJSU Studies Area V in US and California Government. meets US2,US3 and SJSU Studies Area V. If US2, US3 was met previously then take a different Area V course. 3 units
- 3 units
- 2 of 7 required Upper Division courses from four fields-Ancient and Medieval, World, Modern Europe, and United States History 8 units
3rd Semester (15 units)
- SJSU Studies Area R course 3 units
- 2 of 7 required Upper Division courses from four fields-Ancient and Medieval, World, Modern Europe, and United States History 8 units
- Major, Minor or University Electives 4 units
4th Semester (15 units)
- SJSU Studies Area S 3 units
- 4 units
- 1 of 7 required Upper Division courses from four fields-Ancient and Medieval, World, Modern Europe, and United States History 4 units
- Major, Minor or University Electives 4 units
Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
