English, Preparation for Teaching Single Subject, BA (2021-2022) (AA-T English)

The AA-T in English guarantees completion of 60 transferable units and all lower division core GE satisfied. This transfer degree will meet 15 units of lower division English requirements at SJSU.
Below is the path to the BA English, Preparation for Teaching degree in 60 semester units with the transfer AA-T English degree:

- Writing Skills Test Taken and Passed
- US and California Government: . If US2, US3 is met take approved ENGL elective. 3 units

- 1st Semester Foreign Language course # (or approved ENGL elective if met) 4 units
3rd Semester (15 units)
- SJSU Studies Area S in US History. meets US1 and SJSU Studies Area S (if US1 was met previously then take a different Area S course) 3 units

4th Semester (14 units)
- 4 units
- OR 3-4 units
- Upper Division English Electives 4 units
- University Electives 2 units
Roadmap Notes
#One year of foreign language study at the college level or equivalency through exam is required for the degree. A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division electives if articulated.
