English, BA (2021-2022) (AA-T English)

The AA-T in English guarantees completion of 60 transferable units and all lower division core GE satisfied. This transfer degree will meet 15 units of lower division English course work required for the BA English at SJSU.
Below is the path to the BA English degree in 60 semester units with the transfer AA-T English degree:
This roadmap has an approved P.E. waiver.

1st Semester (17 units)
- Writing Skills Test Taken and Passed
- 1st Semester Foreign Language course # (or univ elective if this is met prior to transfer or by exam) 3 units
- US and California Government: . If US2, US3 is met prior to transfer then take a university elective. 3 units
- OR (or ENGL elective) 3 units
- (or ENGL elective) 4 units
- 4 units
2nd Semester (13 units)
- SJSU Studies Area V , , OR 3 units
- SJSU Studies Area S in US History. meets US1 and SJSU Studies Area S course which meets US1 (if US1 is met then take an elective course) 3 units
- 2nd Semester Foreign Language course # (or univ elective if met prior to transfer or by exam) 4 units
- also meets SJSU Studies Area S. 3 units
4th Semester (16 units)
- OR 4 units
- Upper Division ENGL Elective 4 units
- Upper Division ENGL Elective 4 units
- Upper Division ENGL Elective 4 units
Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
#One year of foreign language study at the college level or equivalency through exam. Students must choose a foreign language course which is 3-4 semester units each semester for two semesters to meet this agreement.
