Humanities, Liberal Arts concentration, BA (2019-2020) (AS-T Biology or AS-T Chemistry)

The AS-T in in Biology or AS-T Chemistry guarantees the student will transfer with the completion of 60 transferable semester units. Students who earn either of these transfer degrees will meet the 39 units of lower division GE and 21 units of elective credit at SJSU.
Below is the path to the BA Humanities, concentration in Liberal Arts degree in 60 semester units for students who earns either an AS-T in in Biology or AS-T Chemistry:

2nd Semester (15 units)
- SJSU Studies Area S in US History. meets US1 and Area S. If US1 was met previously then take a different Area S course. 3 units
- Select four courses , ; ; ; 12 units
3rd Semester (15 units)
- SJSU Studies Area V in US & California Government (or a different Area V if US2+3 is met prior to transfer) meets US2+3 + Area V (if US2+3 was met previously then take a different Area V course) 3 units
- GE Area C 3 units
- GE Area D 3 units
- Area 1: Global Humanities , , HUM 120 , ; OR 3 units
- Area 2: American Studies , , OR 3 units
4th Semester (15 units)
- SJSU Studies Area R 3 units
- 3 units
- Area 3: Creative Arts , , , OR 3 units
- Area 4: Religious Studies , , , RELS 155 , RELS 161 , OR 3 units
- Upper Division Major Elective 3 units
Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division electives if articulated.
