Justice Studies, BS (2020-2021) (AS-T Administration of Justice)


The AS-T in Administration of Justice guarantees completion of 60 transferable units and all lower division core GE satisfied. This transfer degree will meet the JS 10 and three units of the major elective requirement at SJSU. Below is the path to the BS Justice Studies degree in 60 semester units with the transfer AS-T Administration of Justice degree.

Note: A grade of “C” or better is required for courses being used to meet any requirement in this major, including courses in preparation for the major:

A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.

# Complete 24 units from the following areas within limits established for each:

• Area A: Theory courses 6 to 9 units from JS 103 , JS 104 , JS 132 , JS 153 , JS 155 , JS 157  or JS 185 .

• Area B: Methodology 3 to 6 units from JS 107 , JS 117 , JS 131 , JS 143 , JS 185 ; FS 161  or FS 162 .

• Area C: Critical Inquiry Courses 3 to 6 units from JS 122 , JS 128 , JS 130 , JS 136 , JS 144 , JS 150 , JS 152  or JS 185 .

• Area D: Local, Transnational, Historical courses 3 to 6 units from JS 121 , JS 123 , JS 127 , JS 129 , JS 137 , JS 145 , JS 156 , JS 158 , JS 161 , JS 171 , JS 172  or JS 185 .

• Area E: Experiential Learning courses up to 6 units from JS 140 , JS 142 , JS 179 , JS 180 , JS 181  or JS 184 .
