Humanities, Religious Studies Concentration, BA (2020-2021) (AA-T Global Studies or AA-T Social Justice Studies)

The AA-T in Global Studies or AA-T in Social Justice Studies guarantees the student will transfer with the completion of 60 transferable semester units. Students who earn either of these transfer degrees will meet the 39 units of lower division GE and 21 units of elective credit at SJSU. Below is the path to the BA Humanities, Concentration in Religious Studies degree in 60 semester units for students who earns either the AA-T in Global Studies or AA-T in Social Justice Studies.

SJSU Studies Area S in US History HIST 170S - Topics in American History: American Identities and Institutions meets US1 and Area S. If US1 was met previously then take a different Area S course 3 units
Comparative courses - select four courses from AMS 129 , AMS 159 , CA 173 , HUM 119 , HUM 128 , RELS 131 12 units

SJSU Studies Area R 3 units
SJSU Studies Area V in US and California Government. POLS 170V - American Politics in Global Perspective meets US2, US3 and Area V. If US2,US3 was met previously then take a different Area V course 3 units

A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division electives if articulated.
