English, Professional and Technical Writing Concentration, BA (2024-2025) (AA-T English)

The AA-T in English guarantees 60 transferable units and the completion of all lower division Core GE. This transfer degree will meet the 15 units of lower division English coursework required for the BA in English, Professional and Technical Writing concentration.

Below is the path for the BA in English, Professional and Technical Writing concentration degree in 60 semester units for students who earn the AA-T in English.

This roadmap has an approved P.E. waiver.

Roadmap Notes

A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.

** Students must take two 3-unit foreign language courses to meet the 1 year of a foreign language requirement. Alternatively, students can waive this requirement through the Language Proficiency Exam; this exam will only waive the foreign language requirement (but not the units required for a degree). If the Language Proficiency Exam is taken and passed, students will need to take lower or upper division elective courses to make up for the outstanding units not waived by the exam.
