Creative Arts, BA (2024-2025) (AA-T Music)

The AA-T in Music guarantees 60 transferable units and the completion of all lower division Core GE. This transfer degree will also clear up to 16 units of lower division Music coursework, and substitute 4 units for content credit only. The 120 units for a degree will include transfer courses approved for MUSC 1A , MUSC 1B , MUSC 2A , MUSC 2B , MUSC 3A , MUSC 3B , MUSC 4A , MUSC 4B , MUSC 9 , the substitution of 4 units of Applied Lessons and 4 units of Ensembles (for content credit only), and 60 units taken at SJSU.

Below is the path to the BA in Creative Arts degree in 60 semester units for students who earn the AA-T in Music. A grade of “C-” or better is required for each of the following courses: CA 172 , CA 173 , CA 175 , CA 176 , and CA 178 .

Roadmap Notes

A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
