PHYS 263A - Quantum Theory

3 units
Postulates of quantum theory. The Schroedinger equation and its solution for simple physical systems. Heisenberg’s matrix formulation of quantum mechanics. Approximation methods: Time dependent and time independent perturbation theory. Variational method.

Prerequisite(s): PHYS 163, PHYS 230.
Grading: Letter Graded
