CCS 125 - Chicana/o Community Studies Capstone


3 units
Designed to expand undergraduate senior opportunities and options; explore employment and careers; and help students reflect and assess learning in the major. Focuses primarily on the transition from undergraduate student to early career professional. In order to understand and prepare for this transition, we will organize our reflection and our discussion around three themes: Self-Knowledge and Chicana/o Studies Skills, Professional Development, and the responsibilities and Ethics of Community Engagement.

Prerequisite(s): Graduating Seniors and Chicana/o Majors only.
Grading: Letter Graded

Note(s): This course is tailored to the advanced skill level, interests, and needs of graduating Chicana and Chicano Studies, BA (CCS) majors who are at the point of preparing their post-college career plans. Students will benefit most from this course if they are within their final two semesters of undergraduate coursework and have completed or are currently enrolled in the other required core courses for the CCS major (CCS 1, CCS 2, CCS 135, CCS 150, CCS 151, CCS 152).
