BIOL 170 - Cellular and Molecular Physiology 3 units Introduction to the structure and physiological function of cells. Topics include synthesis of cellular macromolecules such as DNA, RNA and proteins; internal cellular organization; biochemical reactions necessary for cell growth, death and cellular communication. Relevant pathophysiology examples of cellular dysfunction are presented.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 124 (with a grade of “C-” or better), or instructor consent. Must be a declared Biology Major (all). Grading: Letter Graded
