HUM 10 - Honors Global Oral and Rhetorical Cultures


3 units
Interdisciplinary study of human cultures, with special attention to the interplay of oral and written cultures and how orality and rhetoric continue to shape modern societies. Studies human cultures from what we know of their beginnings to the present along three axes of cultural interconnection: East-West; Global North-Global South; and past-present. Assignments focus on the development of oral and multimedia presentation skills in order to engage the material on its own terms.

Satisfies A1: Oral Communication.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of or concurrent registration in GE Area A2.
Grading: Letter Graded.
