Art History and Visual Culture, BA (2023-2024) (AA-T Art History)

The AA-T in Art History guarantees 60 transferable units and the completion of all lower division Core GE. This transfer degree will meet the ARTH 70A , ARTH 70B , ART 24 , and 3 units from ART 12 , ART 13 , ART 46 , ART 68 , ART 74 , or PHOT 40 requirements at SJSU.

Below is the roadmap for the BA in Art (Art History and Visual Culture) degree in 60 semester units for students who earn the AA-T in Art History.

This roadmap has an approved P.E. waiver.

Roadmap Notes

A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with your major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree; however, up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.

** Complete 30 units of Major Electives from Areas 1, 2, 3 OR 27 units of Major Electives from Areas 1, 2, 3 and three units of Upper Division Studio Art Elective. Select a minimum of one course from each of the three areas below, with a minimum of 3 additional courses selected from one of the areas.
