Behavioral Science, BA (2020-2021) (AA-T Sociology)

The AA-T in Sociology guarantees completion of 60 transferable units and all lower division core GE satisfied. This transfer degree will meet the SOCI 1 requirement at SJSU. We encourage students to complete the SOCI 15 equivalency as part of the AA-T degree options, but if not completed prior to transfer they will need to complete the course at SJSU, as well as the American Institutions requirement. Below is the path to the BA Behavioral Science degree in 60 semester units with the transfer AA-T Sociology degree.

4th Semester (15 units)
- SJSU Studies Area R 3 units
- Area Specialization - two Upper Division Anthropology, Psychology, or Sociology courses approved by Behavioral Science advisor. Three units of SJSU studies coursework may be used to meet Area Specialization requirements. 6 units
- ANTH 193 - Behavioral Science in Practice 3 units
- SOCI 101 - Social Theory 3 units
Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Students may take their Anthrolopology, Psychology and Sociology major classes in any of their semesters at SJSU. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
Students must complete at least one of the following courses ANTH 149, ANTH 165, PSYC 018, PSYCH 120 or SOCI 104.
