The AA-T in Geography guarantees 60 transferable units and the completion of all lower division Core GE. This transfer degree will also meet GEOG 1 , GEOG 10 or GEOG 12 , and ten requirements for the major at SJSU.

Below is the path to the BA in Geography degree in 60 semester units for students who earn the AA-T in Geography.

This roadmap has an approved P.E. waiver.

GEOG 70 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems 4 units
STAT 95 - Elementary Statistics 3 units

2nd Semester (15-16 units)

HIST 170S (Area S+US1) OR a different SJSU Studies Area S if US1 already satisfied 3 units
GEOG 112 - Nations, Cultures & Globalization 3 units (Area V)

A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
