Behavioral Science, BA (2024-2025) (AA-T Global Studies or AA-T Social Justice Studies)

The AA-T in Global Studies or AA-T in Social Justice Studies guarantees 60 transferable units and the completion of all lower division Core GE. Students who earn either of these transfer degrees will meet the 39 units of lower division GE and 21 units of elective credit at SJSU.
Below is the path to the BA in Behavioral Science degree in 60 semester units for students who earn either the AA-T in Global Studies or AA-T in Social Justice Studies.
This roadmap has an approved P.E. waiver.

3rd Semester (15-16 units)
- POLS 170V (Area V+US23) OR a different SJSU Studies Area V if US2+3 already satisfied 3 units
- Upper Division Psychology Courses (may include PSYC 120 ) 6-7 total units
- Upper Division Sociology Courses (may include SOCI 104 ) 6 total units
4th Semester (14-16 units)
Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. Students may take their Anthropology, Psychology and Sociology major classes in any of their semesters at SJSU. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division electives if articulated.
Students must complete at least one of the following courses: ANTH 149 , ANTH 165 , PSYC 18 , PSYC 120 , or SOCI 104 .
A 3-unit maximum of individual studies may be used to meet the degree requirements.
** SJSU Studies courses (Area R, S, or V) cannot be used towards the Area Specialization requirement.
