LING 167 - Multilingualism and Language Contact 3 units Offers global and local perspectives on bi-/multilingualism, at the level of the individual (language acquisition, language choice, identity) and society (language ideologies and policies); explores varied social and linguistic outcomes of languages contact (pidgin and creole languages, code-switching, language shift).
