TA 170A - Introduction to Acting and Directing for the Camera


3 units
Directing and Acting techniques for shaping a narrative and adjusting performance; voice and microphone use, movement for camera, gesture and the frame, role analysis for non-sequential performance, concentration, relaxation. Preparation, performance and critique of taped scenes.

Lecture 2 hours/Activity 2 hours.

Course may be repeated for credit for up to 6 units.

Prerequisite(s): RTVF 130 or TA 17.
Grading: Letter Graded
