COMM 174 - Intercultural Comm and Structural Inequalities

Analysis of intercultural communication in the U.S. as it relates to social inequalities, power differences, and diversity. Examines identities and interactions among people of different racial/ethnic backgrounds. Investigates influence of sociocultural forces on intercultural communication encounters and relationships.

Satisfies SJSU Studies Area S: Self, Society & Equality in U.S.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of Core General Education and upper division standing are prerequisites to all SJSU studies courses. Completion of, or co-registration in, 100W is strongly recommended.
