Lower division courses should generally be taken in years 1-2, and upper division courses in years 3-4. Students should work with an academic advisor to create an individual roadmap using the MyPlanner tool.

Students must have 60 units to enter into the Major: BA in Social Work. 
1Major Core Courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better (letter graded courses) or CREDIT (credit/no credit courses).

Either GE Area 5A or 5B must be taken with a 5C - Laboratory .
 

Please Note: SCWK 111  and SCWK 141  should be taken concurrently after completing core courses. SCWK 112  & SCWK 142  are only offered in the Spring and must be taken after successfully completing 111 & 141.  SCWK 175  must be taken concurrently with SCWK 112 and SCWK 142, or following completion of SCWK 142, and must have completed all other social work courses.  It must be taken as the last social work course and students cannot plan to take other social work courses after completing SCWK 175.

A minimum of 120 units is required for this degree.
