**Courses in the Social Sciences (GE Area 4 and GE UD Area 4) must be completed in at least two different disciplines (for example, AAS and COMM, JS, or SOCI). Students who take two lower-division GE Area 4 courses in the same discipline must take an GE UD Area 4 course in a different discipline.
