The Minor in Asian American Studies (AAS) is offered by the Department of Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences . Asian American Studies (AAS) critically examines power and structure through the relational and intersectional analysis of racial capitalism, settler colonialism, and diasporic movements. An interdisciplinary field, AAS brings together perspectives and methodologies in the creative arts, humanities, and social sciences while maintaining a commitment to activism and the needs of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
