PH 172 - Contemporary Environmental Health Issues 3 unit(s) Examines the complex and interdependent relationship between environment and health outcomes. Advances scientific understanding of evolution and biodiversity, ecosystems, population dynamics, sustainability of earth’s resources, pest management, solid and hazardous waste, water and air pollution, climate change, and environmental/occupational exposures.
Satisfies UD Area: 2/5. Earth, Environment, and Sustainability (Formerly Area R).
Prerequisite(s): Completion of Core General Education and upper division standing are prerequisites to all UD GE courses. Completion of, or co-registration in, 100W is strongly recommended. Grading: Letter Graded
