HUM 119 - Myths, Heroes, and Global Cultures before 1500 CE 3 unit(s) Explore and interpret stories, art, poetry, myths, folklore, and other forms of cultural expression from around the ancient and medieval worlds until the beginning of European expansion (ca. 1500 CE). Using the tools of archaeology, history, literary studies, art history and more, students will focus on at least three different global regions (e.g., the Americas, Asia, Africa, Oceania, Europe, etc.) seeking commonalities and differences among different cultures in the past and between the past and present.
Prerequisite(s): Upper division standing or permission of instructor. Grading: Letter Graded
