MATH 70 - Mathematics for Business 3 unit(s) Systems of linear equations, financial mathematics, conceptual calculus, probability and statistics. Emphasis on business and economics applications with a focus on concepts and interpretation.
Satisfies 2. Mathematical Concepts and Quantitative Reasoning (Formerly Area B4).
Prerequisite(s): MATH 18A or MATH 19 with a grade of B or better, or any of the following: a satisfactory score on the Precalculus Proficiency Assessment, SAT Math score of 570+, or ACT Math score of 23+. Corequisite(s): MATH 70W for students with MATH 18A or MATH 19 with a grade of B- or lower or a satisfactory score on the Precalculus Proficiency Assessment, or students who are repeating MATH 70. Grading: Letter Graded
Note(s): A grade of C- (1.7) or better is required to satisfy GE Area 2.
