MATH 127 - Applied and Industrial Algebra 3 units Fundamental topics of abstract algebra (groups, rings, fields) from the viewpoint of real-world application, such as coding theory, robotics, algorithm design, cryptography, integrated circuit design, and signal processing.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 42 or MATH 42X, and MATH 39 (each with a C- or better). Or instructor consent. Grading: Letter Graded
