MS 253 - Marine Pollution 4 unit(s) General aquatic chemistry principles and in-depth analysis of the sources, transport and fate of various contaminants in the marine environment. Topics include nutrients, trace metals, persistent organic pollutants, microplastics, hydrocarbons, radioactive substances and carbon dioxide with accompanying practical experience in the field and laboratory.
Lecture 2 hours/Lab 2 hours.
Prerequisite(s): MS 143 or instructor consent. Grading: Letter Graded
