ME 111 - Fluid Mechanics 3 unit(s) Fluid properties, statics, dynamics of fluids; continuity, linear and angular momentum and energy principles. Viscous and non-viscous flow. Pumps, turbines, flow in pipes and around submerged obstacles. Dimensional analysis and dynamic similitude.
Prerequisite(s): CE 95 or CE 99 , and MATH 32 or MATH 32X (each with a grade of “C-” or better). Sophomore or upper division standing. Allowed Declared Majors: Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Grading: Letter Graded
