HIST 134 - World War II 4 unit(s) Examines the origins and conduct of totalitarian regimes including Nazism, Italian fascism, and Japanese imperialism. The course also traces the strategies and tactics of the Allies and Axis in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Atlantic and Pacific Theaters of war. Students will analyze the scope and intensity of Second World War combat, the causes of mass violence and genocide, the development and use of nuclear weapons, and the end of empire.
Prerequisite(s): Upper division standing or instructor consent. Grading: Letter Graded
