HUM 110 - Digital Literacies: People, Platforms, Power 3 unit(s) In this day and age in which the digital is imbricated in every facet of our daily lives, digital literacy is more than simply learning to use digital tools and technologies. Course focuses on developing deep understandings of digital media - their origins, contexts of use, and implications for human and more-than-human experience.Through a focus on how platforms affect people and power, students will develop literacies that can evolve with ever-shifting digital landscapes to meet the challenges and opportunities of today and tomorrow.
Prerequisite(s): Upper division standing, completion of lower division GE. Grading: Letter Graded
High Impact Practice: Collaborative Assignments and Projects.
