Fundamental prokaryotic genetic concepts and their incorporation into problem solving and experimental design. Emphasis on how and why someone might use genetic approaches to their benefit when addressing biological questions in bacteria.

Lecture/Seminar: 4 hours

Prerequisite(s): MICR 101 (with a grade of “C” or better), CHEM 112A (with a grade of “C” or better), or instructor consent. Must be a declared Biology Major (all).
