MATH 178 - Mathematical Modeling 3 unit(s) An introduction to modern quantitative modeling and data‐analysis techniques. Topics from model fitting and selection, difference equations, data processing, and network analysis will be used to model a range of applied problems from scientific fields using contemporary software packages.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 39 (with a grade of “C-” or better) or instructor consent. Allowed Declared Major: Mathematics major/minor or Computer Science. Grading: Letter Graded
