Introduction to thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer. Basic thermodynamics with first and second laws. Laminar and turbulent flow of incompressible fluids. Boundary layer analysis. Convection and steady state and transient conduction.

Prerequisite(s): CHE 110A or MATH 33A (with a grade of “C-” or better); PHYS 51 (with a grade of “C-” or better); CE 95 or CE 99. Or Instructor Consent.
