BUS 285 - Sustainable Supply Chain

The focus of this course is on the need to develop sustainable supply chains - economically, environmentally, and socially. It provides a comprehensive overview of supply chain management from a sustainability perspective. It addresses the tangible and intangible benefits of moving toward sustainable supply chains and identifies the direct and indirect costs of such transition. It discusses the barriers to working with suppliers and customers to jointly work toward more sustainable supply chain environments and ways to work around them. It identifies ways to measure progress towards sustainability and present audit results to key stakeholders. The elements critical to the success of sustainable supply chains are also identified and explained.
