SOCI 144 - Education for Liberation 3 unit(s) Critical and sociological examination of attempts to address inequalities and disparities within community-oriented learning programs and movements. Focus on nonformal learning programs associated with workers¿ education, adult and lifelong education (including anti-literacy and popular theater), and pro-people popular education (related to national liberation, pro-democracy, human rights, antiracist, pro-migrant, feminist, and youth movements).
