CHAD 135 - Development of Language & Literacy in Children 3 unit(s) An overview of the development of children’s communicative competence as well as the foundations of language and literacy in the context of a diverse, technologically complex society. Course content covers theories, contexts for development; linguistic diversity, and information/media literacy.
Prerequisite(s): Passage of the Writing Skills Test (WST) or ENGL 100A / LLD 100A with a C or better (C- not accepted), completion of Core General Education and upper division standing, passage of 100W, and acceptance into the ChAD BA Credential Program. Grading: Letter Graded
