Return to: Majors and Programs
The Interdisciplinary Studies Minor provides a curricular mechanism to motivate students to take interdisciplinary courses in service of solving pervasive social and societal problems. Students in any major will benefit from a minor that teaches them how to approach pressing problems from multiple perspectives and to arrive at solutions and recommendations that align with their interests and that draw on their academic training. Students work in supervised teams to ask historical, ethical, and technical questions; do research; propose and prototype solutions.
Students with at least a 3.5 GPA in the minor will receive an Honors designation on the transcript.
