Overview

Do you like to design and innovate? Are you good at math and science? Would you like to help solve problems facing our society? Consider a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering. These programs are part of the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering, which is ranked #3 in the nation among public universities that do not offer a doctorate (excluding military academies). We place hands-on labs and projects as a priority, and interaction with faculty is substantial. Mechanical engineering students focus on mechanical design, mechatronics, thermal-fluids engineering, or a combination of those areas. Our BS and MS graduates work in industries including product design, sustainable energy, transportation solutions, biomedical devices, aerospace systems, sensor technology, and semiconductor manufacturing.
