RTVF 83 - Digital Media Impact and Analysis 1 unit(s) Media institutions are examined regarding technology they use/develop, information they distribute, entertainment they provide and influence they bring. Engages exploration into the ways digital media have had an impact on various aspects of contemporary culture such as concepts of community, communication, identity, privacy, property, value systems, economic structures, political institutions, and natural environments. Course content shall develop students’ analytical skills and understanding of social science in ways that develop the capacity for informed civic engagement. Understanding how media effects work, how they impact culture, or define reality, requires learning the tools of analysis to study them.
