Topics include inference, stochastic processes, Markov chains, hidden Markov models, clustering, and gene expression analysis. Applications to current molecular biology and genetics problems. No biology background required.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 161A (with a grade of “C-” or better) or instructor consent.
