ESM 9 - Mathematics and Logic for General Education

A survey of basic concepts and methods, focusing on logic, computation, sets, numbers, geometry and probability. Emphasis will be placed on using these concepts in daily life and in coping with public issues.

Satisfies B4: Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning.

Corequisite(s): ESM 9W required as a corequisite for Math Enrollment Categories M-III and M-IV; and recommended for Enrollment Category M-II.
Grading: ABC-/No Credit
