Part of a 3-course series (LSTP 85A, B, C) that provides prospective K-8 teachers to California’s public school classrooms with initial exposure to the elementary classroom setting. LSTP 85C focuses on ethnography as a means of gaining a deeper understanding of classroom observations and classroom dynamics. It combines readings on conducting classroom ethnographies with field experience to produce “Ethnographic Snapshots”. Coursework involves 10 hours of volunteering in a public-school classroom with a credentialed teacher and online assignments.
