AE 169 - Computational Fluid Dynamics 3 unit(s) Physical and mathematical foundations of computational fluid mechanics with emphasis on applications. Solution methods for the advection, diffusion model equations, the Euter and the Navier-Stokes equations. The finite volume formulation of the equations. Classification of partial differential equations and solution techniques. Truncation errors, stability analysis.
Prerequisite(s): “C” or better in MATH 39 and (AE 160 or ME 111 ) or graduate standing. Grading: Letter Graded
