Mindfulness-Based Health and Human Services Certificate (Graduate)

This program, offered by the Department of Occupational Therapy , will provide practitioners of healthcare and human services the opportunity to develop, experience, and practice their profession through a mindfulness-based practice model and lens. The program provides curricular opportunities to build essential skills for developing mindfulness-based practices. Developing skillful and steadfast mindful self-care and compassion in the midst of our complex work is the primary focus of this training program. From this embodied experience of the mindfulness-based lens, the program will provide guidance and mentorship to appropriately integrate mindfulness into your work.

Certificate Prerequisites
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course, 8-week (9-10 session [2.5 to 3 hours per week] with All-Day Retreat Session) and proof of license as healthcare or human services professional from an accredited institution. Required Courses (9 units)
