Roadmap Notes
A minimum of 40 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 70 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
** Must take JS 140 (Justice Studies Area E course; see list below) to be enrollable in JS 141 or JS 142 .
*** Upper Division Major Courses (Areas A-E): Complete 21 units from the following areas within limits established for each:
Area A: Theory - Complete 6 to 9 units from:
JS 103 , JS 153 , JS 157 , JS 185 , or FS 160
Area B: Methodology - Complete 3 to 6 units from:
JS 107 , JS 117 , JS 131 , JS 143 , JS 185 , or FS 160
Area C: Critical Inquiry - Complete 3 to 6 units from:
JS 122 , JS 128 , JS 130 , JS 136 , JS 144 , JS 146 , JS 150 , JS 174 , JS 185 , FS 160 , or FS 171
Area D: Local, Transnational, Historical - Complete 3 to 6 units from:
JS 121 , JS 123 , JS 127 , JS 129 , JS 137 , JS 145 , JS 156 , JS 158 , JS 161 , JS 172 , JS 173 , JS 185 , FS 160 , or FS 170
Area E: Experiential Learning - Complete up to 6 units from:
JS 140 , JS 141 , JS 142 , JS 179 , JS 180 , JS 181 , JS 182 , or JS 184
