A grade of “C-” or better is required for courses being used to satisfy the requirements for this minor.

University Graduation Requirements

To be awarded a minor, at least 12 units of coursework must be completely distinct and separate from the coursework in the major (University Policy S16-4).

Minor Requirements (19 units)

Lower Division (10 units)

MATH 30 - Calculus I 3 units (B4) (MATH 30P or MATH 30PL may be used instead of MATH 30 .)
MATH 31 - Calculus II 4 units (B4)

Complete One Course From:

MATH 32 - Calculus III 3 units (B4)
MATH 42 - Discrete Mathematics 3 units

Upper Division Mathematics Electives (9 units)

Total Units Required (19 units)

MATH 30P or MATH 30PL may be used instead of MATH 30 . MATH 101 , MATH 105 , MATH 106 , MATH 107A and MATH 107B may not be included in the minor. MATH 123 can be included in the minor only if neither MATH 129A nor MATH 133A nor MATH 134 is included in the minor. At most one of MATH 133A and MATH 134 can be included in the minor.
